Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese both give brutally honest opinions about flagrant foul

After Caitlin Clark committed a hard foul on Angel Reese in the season opener, there were two reactions.

Reese, who fell to the ground after contact, got up fuming mad about the incident.

Clark, who had hit Reese's arms when she went up with the ball, walked away, stone-faced, as the Sky forward tried to charge at her.

The Fever guard was awarded a flagrant 1 foul. Reese seemed to think it was a dirty play, but what did Clark think?

During an intermission, Clark was asked what point she was trying to make with the contact.

"It's just a good take foul. Either Angel gets wide open 2 points or we send them to the free throw line," Clark said. "Nothing malicious about it. It's just a good take foul every basketball player knows that"

Unfortunately for Clark, the foul gave Reese an extra shot at the line.

Reese was asked about the situation postgame and gave a much more brief answer.

"Basketball play, refs got it right, move on," she said postgame.

Both sides seem to want to put the moment behind them. Reese was upset when the foul happened but now wants to "move on."

For Clark, she may not agree with the flagrant but can take solace in the 35-point victory.
