The Arizona Cardinals announced that they will be naming Jacoby Brissett the starting quarterback. This, of course, means they will be benching quarterback Kyler Murray for the foreseeable future.

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 4, 2025It was clear that things were not going well with Murray as the starter. However, once the seventh-year QB out of Oklahoma missed some time due to a foot injury, the Cardinals were able to see Brissett run the offense.

What is Jacoby Brissett's fantasy value as starting Cardinals QB?
Since taking over as the starter in Week 6, Brissett has been the QB14 overall in fantasy football. This is better than some notable names such as Matthew Stafford, Sam Darnold, and Jared Goff.
With the schedule not getting too much more difficult in the coming weeks, there is no reason to think he can't keep up this pace. Brissett has had two passing touchdowns and 250 or more passing yards in all three of his starts.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon won't commit to one QB or the other, so at the moment, Brissett is a streaming QB option with a safe floor. With a few injuries to some QBs in Week 9, he definitely offers some value to desperate fantasy managers.

Jacoby Brissett fantasy impact on Cardinals offense
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In Week 9 with Jacoby Brissett as the starter, Marvin Harrison Jr. didn't just have a season-best performance, but a career-high seven receptions.
We only have a three-game sample size, but two of these performances with Brissett were not good. MHJ has been inconsistent, and it does not appear to change with a new QB.
The career-high game could be because of the matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Still, it's nice to see a glimpse of what made MHJ such a dynamic WR prospect out of Ohio State.
Trey McBride
Unlike Marvin Harrison Jr., Trey McBride is a player whose performances show a clear improvement under Jacoby Brissett.
With Brissett as the starter, McBride has had a season-high in targets, receptions, and receiving TDs. However, anyone who drafted the TE out of Colorado State in fantasy is going to play him regardless of who the QB is.
It's still worth noting that McBride is more valuable for fantasy football when Brissett is his quarterback.
Michael Wilson, Zay Jones
There is no consistency or pattern evident with these two WRs and Brissett.
Zay Jones received a season-high game back in Brissett's first start in Week 6. Whereas in Week 9 against the Cowboys, he was not targeted a single time.
Michael Wilson has been consistent, but it's nothing to celebrate. He's been averaging three catches for 48 yards with Brissett as the starter.
Trey Benson, Bam Knight, Emari Demercado
The backfield is definitely in a better spot to succeed when Brissett is commanding the offense.
First and foremost, it's apparent that Brissett does not possess the same rushing ability as Kyler Murray. Therefore, there will be no designed run plays, unlike those for Murray.
Second, and arguably most important, if the offense is moving the ball and scoring more points, the RBs attached to that offense will be better for fantasy. Not a complicated formula to understand -- especially with Benson re-emerging from injured reserve in the coming weeks.

Can I drop Kyler Murray in fantasy football?
Unless you genuinely believe Kyler Murray can help you win a fantasy championship, feel free to drop him.
While coach Gannon did not say Murray won't play again this season, even if he does, what are you holding onto him for? The only case that could be made is saving him for a favorable fantasy playoff schedule.
Too bad the Cardinals' matchups are brutal.
They get one good matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17; however, the game before the playoffs and the other two weeks look like this.
| Week | OPP | FAN PTS Allowed to QBS |
| 14 | LAR | 14.4 |
| 15 | @HOU | 11.5 |
| 16 | ATL | 14.3 |
It would make little to no sense to hold a guy like Murray for one game in your championship week. He is not dependable enough for that, and you probably have a better option at QB if you make it to Week 17.
