J.J. McCarthy injury update: Vikings QB delivered crushing news

It's been a frustrating season filled with injuries for Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy, and he was delivered more crushing injury news on Tuesday.

After exiting Minnesota's Week 16 contest versus the New York Giants with a hand injury, McCarthy underwent further tests. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the MRI and tests revealed that McCarthy has a hairline fracture in his throwing hand and will miss the Vikings' Week 17 game.

"Vikings QB JJ McCarthy, who underwent an MRI and other tests on his right, throwing hand, has suffered a hairline fracture and he’s out this week. Another frustrating injury," Rapoport wrote on X.
