The Kansas City Chiefs are limping towards the end of the season, as the injuries are beginning to pile up.
Patrick Mahomes and Gardner Minshew are the most notable, as is receiver Rashee Rice.
Having suffered a concussion against the Los Angeles Chargers back in Week 15, Rice didn't play against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16.
As we approach Christmas Day against the Denver Broncos, it will be nearly two weeks since Rashee played.
And going by head coach Andy Reid's update, it doesn't look good for Rice's chances of playing.
"Rashee won't practice, still in the protocol," Reid said.
So, Rice is still in concussion protocol. That isn't good.

Why Chiefs should sit Rice
Given that there are only two games left, and Rice is already trending in the wrong direction to play against the Broncos, the wise decision would be to shut him down for the season.
There is nothing to be gained from having one of your best offensive weapons playing in a meaningless Week 18 game.
Mahomes is already lost for the year, and potentially the start of 2026; the Chiefs won't want to add any more players to that list.
Yes, it is admirable to play, but there is no reason to risk it.
Considering Rice hasn't cleared protocol and it's been nearly two weeks, that is a sign the Chiefs should sit him out for the final two games.
