Chelsea legend Joe Cole has urged his former club to sign Manchester United target Antoine Semenyo from AFC Bournemouth. He believes that the Ghanaian will be an instant starter for Enzo Maresca's side, hinting that he is better than the options on the left wing.
Speaking to Paddy Power, Cole admitted that Semenyo might be out of Chelsea's plans right now, as he is not within the age limit they have set for themselves. He wishes his former side would make an exception and sign the 25-year-old to bolster their attack and said (via Metro):
"Knowing Chelsea, he might be too old! I'd have to check his age, but from a football perspective, if he's available and he wants to come, it's a no-brainer in terms of bringing him into the football club. With Chelsea's model, there'll be a financial element and evaluation element to it, so it'll come down to that. He'd be a welcome addition to the Chels squad, and he probably starts, because he's been superb for Bournemouth."Semenyo has a £65 million release clause for the January window, and clubs are lining up to make a move. Liverpool are reported to be leading the chase, while Manchester United and Tottenham remain interested.
Manchester United urged to sign former Chelsea star
Former Manchester United star Paul Parker has asked his former side to sign Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid. He said that the club need to sign a midfielder in the January window and the English star was the ideal fit.
He told Manchester World:
"What you do is you go out and you go and ask if you can get Connor Gallagher, a person with just as much energy, someone who's better with the ball, someone who's proven in the Premier League, had a great time at Palace, has proven himself. Chelsea fans didn't want to see him go." "He's gone to Atletico Madrid, he's done well there, he's definitely now more experienced, he's learnt a bit more playing for a coach like Simeone on his defensive work but he can't get in a team anymore as he did before. So United need to go out and get him on loan. I think that would be a really good signing for us."Manchester United were linked with a move for Conor Gallagher in the summer window, but failed to agree a deal with Atletico Madrid.
