Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco has been struggling with injury concerns and a lack of production since last season. He suffered a fractured fibula in Week 2 before finally returning in Week 13. He played in seven total games while recording 310 yards and just one touchdown rushing.

This season, things have not improved for Isiah Pacheco on the field. He suffered a right knee injury during their 28-7 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week eight. The running back missed the next couple of games before making his return during the Chiefs' Thanksgiving loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

In 10 appearances, Pacheco has tallied just 375 yards and one touchdown rushing, while the Chiefs' playoff chances hang by a thread with a 6-7 record. Now, the running back has received some concerning updates about his future with the franchise. According to ESPN's Nate Taylor, this season might be Pacheco's last with the team.

The Chiefs drafted Pacheco with the 251st overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. He made quite an impression during his debut campaign, tallying 830 yards and five TDs rushing while winning Super Bowl LVII.

In 2023, the running back put up his best campaign with the Chiefs, recording 935 yards and seven TDs rushing and winning back-to-back Super Bowl championships. However, with his four-year rookie contract coming to an end, rumors suggest the Chiefs are looking to revamp their running game.

This season, Andy Reid's team is ranked No.17 in terms of rushing offense, averaging 118.9 yards and 14 touchdowns. They are currently on a two-game losing streak following last week's disappointing 20-10 loss to the Houston Texans.

Isiah Pacheco fined by the NFL for incident during Week 13 showdown between the Chiefs and the Cowboys

The NFL made a decision regarding an incident during the Chiefs' Thanksgiving loss to the Cowboys involving Isiah Pacheco. In the third quarter, during a third-and-16 play, the running back caught a pass from Patrick Mahomes.

While scrambling for a first down, Pacheco collided with CB DaRon Bland. However, the league decided to fine him $46,371 for "unnecessary roughness" because he led into the collision head-first with his helmet.

The Chiefs are currently third in the AFC West behind the Chargers and the Broncos. They face Jim Harbaugh's team on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
