With Christmas come and gone, we're deep into college football bowl season as the New Year approaches.

Full slates of bowl games are on tap Friday and Saturday, including the first matchup of ranked teams outside the College Football Playoff as No. 12 BYU meets No. 22 Georgia Tech in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

Three other games featuring ranked teams also are on the docket, including an ACC-SEC matchup between No. 19 Virginia and Missouri in the Gator Bowl, No. 21 Houston facing an LSU team in flux in the Texas Bowl, and No. 25 North Texas closing out a strong season against San Diego State in the New Mexico Bowl.
