The rumor comes from this viral post from a known satirical account:

That is a real post from MPJ's Instagram story, but the key is that 573 near the bottom.

That's an area code in the state of Missouri. Cunningham and Porter are both from the same part of that state and have known one another for a long time.

They both are from Columbia, with Porter saying recently he "grew up with Sophie Cunningham."

There's no indication that this is anything more than long-time friends from the same place.
