Fakemink has reportedly addressed his comments against Nettspend in a new post. He had previously slammed the latter for wanting to wear a dress.

Fakemink, whose real name is Vincenzo Camille, has been beefing with Nettspend, whose real name is Gunner Shepardson, in recent weeks. Shepardson had reportedly expressed his desire to wear a dress someday.

Camille appeared to diss him in an Instagram Live, shared by @nettcentral on X (formerly Twitter) on October 5. In it, he rapped:

"Imma see you in a dress, and you're gonna see me on a screen"

Some fans online suggested that these comments stem from homophobia. However, Camille has denied these accusations in a post, as shared by Kurrco on November 2 on X. The rapper wrote:

"They call me racist and homophobic but I'm not. I don't hate any race or any sexual orientation. They think this beef stems from homophobia. But if you knew the truth your jaw would drop to the floor. Ima keep quiet though. I'd rather be hated on than exposing dirty laundry."

He had also clarified his side on an Instagram Live, shared by @nettcentral, saying:

"I don't hate on anyone that wears dresses, but you won't ever catch me in a dress. That's what I'm saying. I'm not homophobic, like I'm friends with ecco2k, I'm not homophobic. Plus, I don't do diss tracks. If I want to beef with someone, I tell it to their face."

On the other hand, amidst all this, Nettspend released a snippet of a new song on his Instagram Live on November 2. As caught by Kurrco, he rapped:

“I just peeped that you unfollowed me and I ain’t even know it"

This references Fakemink unfollowing him on Instagram.

Vincenzo Camille released his first studio album, London's Saviour, on December 22, 2023. In an interview with No Bells, he spoke about the reason behind naming the album as such and said:

"London’s Saviour is not a self-proclaimed title. The reason why I named my album London’s Saviour is because I wanted to claim myself as London’s saviour just to see if anyone would challenge me. I felt London music had to change. So that album opened people’s eyes when it comes to new London music."

Sharing who gave him the title, the rapper added:

"GhostInnaFurCoat. He commented on my post like a long time ago, and it just stuck. And it just popped as an album title."

Meanwhile, he also revealed the reason behind his own rap name and how it related to fashion, saying:

"Luxury and dirty—that’s the whole idea behind the name “fakemink” is to contrast. The mink is the luxury part; the fake is the dirty. For example, if it was an outfit, it would be something that is luxury, but it’s dirty."

Apart from London's Saviour, Fakemink has also released two extended plays, Wild One (April 2024) and Furever (June 2024). He is also set to release his second studio album in early 2026.
