Former WWE Superstar Ric Flair made some comments against Jim Ross recently. A wrestling veteran has now hit back at the WWE legend for these comments.

Jim Cornette is the latest to comment on the situation between Ric Flair and Jim Ross. JR has had a series of health issues over the past few years and has been admitted to a hospital a couple of times.

A few weeks ago, JR revealed that he was diagnosed with colon cancer. Since then, he has undergone surgery for the same. While the world was busy sending their thoughts and prayers for the legendary commentator, Flair called him an attention seeker and asked him to focus on his recovery instead.

During a recent edition of his Drive-Thru podcast, show host Brian asked Jim Cornette if there were any issues between Ross and Flair when they worked together in WCW. Cornette responded that the only problem they had was when Ric Flair viewed JR as being more on Jim Herd's side since they had to coexist in the office, but there was no personal animosity between them.

"The only problem that they had, and I've said this many times, was that Flair viewed JR as being more on Jim Herd's side because JR had to coexist in the office with the f***ing raccoon headed a**hole and tried to be a more amenable or professional or acquiescent or whatever to him than Flair who just wanted to say, 'F**k you. Jump out the window and me too.' But it was not like either one of them personally had an issue with each other or whatever. And as I said, I don't know what's going on with anybody in the last number of years. I'm over here. I try to stay away from these things." [4:22 - 5:13]

Teddy Long also reacted to Ric Flair's comments

After Ric Flair called Jim Ross an attention seeker, he backtracked on his comments, stating that it was a joke. However, his recent behavior has gotten him a lot of backlash from fans and critics.

Speaking on his Road Trip After Hours podcast, Teddy Long stated that he wasn't surprised by Flair's behavior.

“Nothing surprises me. This is professional wrestling, man. Okay, so nothing surprises me. The thing that I try to do is I try to stay away from all this drama, because I don’t have time for it. You know, God has blessed me. I’m still alive. I’m still getting out doing, you know, seeing the fans and doing my thing, you know, and enjoying myself. So, I ain’t got time for all that negativity.” [H/T - Wrestlingnews.co]
