Who won the NASCAR race today?

Denny Hamlin, driving the #11 Ford for Joe Gibbs Racing, secured his third win of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season at Michigan International Speedway.

Hamlin emerged victorious after saving enough fuel to put himself in front in the closing laps of Michigan. He grabbed the lead from William Byron with four laps to go and then held off the polesitter Chris Buescher on the final lap to cross the finish line in P1.

The 44-year-old Tampa, Florida, native led only five laps and crossed the finish line by an impressive margin of 1.099 seconds ahead of Buescher to take the checkered flag in Sunday’s FireKeepers Casino 400. The win marked Hamlin’s 57th of his career.

Meanwhile, Chris Buescher finished runner-up, followed by Ty Gibbs, Bubba Wallace, and Kyle Larson in the top five. Ross Chastain, Zane Smith, Kyle Busch, Ryan Preece, and Brad Keselowski completed the top 10.

Joey Logano, the defending series champion, finished 22nd in the 36-driver field.
