Brazilian women bantamweight Norma Dumont isn’t expecting former champion Ronda Rousey to return to MMA. Rousey hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2016 after she suffered a defeat at the hands of Amanda Nunes.
‘Rowdy’ then had a successful stint in WWE where she won multiple titles, but left the wrestling company too. She has posted training videos in recent months, which has led to speculation of her return.
Dumont was on The Ariel Helwani Show and was asked about Rousey. While Helwani believes that the American is on her way back to MMA, Dumont thinks otherwise. She said via her translator:
“I don’t think the conditions are right for her to come back. I think the girls today are much stronger, much bigger. I don't see why she'd come and do that. I think it’s a different situation, I don't see any upside for her.”Get the latest updates on One Championship Rankings at Sportskeeda and more

Helwani then asked Dumont if Rousey would be keen on proving herself at this point, but the Brazilian backed her claims of the former UFC star not wanting to return:
“No, I think she complains too much. She complains about the public. She complains everything. I don't think she really has a desire to go back into the octagon.”Helwani then pressed Dumont for how a hypothetical fight with Rousey would go next year, to which 'The Immortal' responded:
“That would be an awesome fight. I don’t think she would be able to get near me, I think she would get beat up a lot and it would be a great opportunity for me.”Ronda Rousey rips into Joe Rogan
While talks of Ronda Rousey returning gains steam, she recently appeared on the Bertcast podcast and took a swipe at Joe Rogan.
Rogan is one of the most popular podcasters in the world. However, the American is also a big MMA fan and features as a commentator on the big UFC PPVs.
Rousey claimed that Rogan isn’t an expert and added that he never actually fought:
“He’s not an expert, he’s a fan with an audience. He’s never fought. Taekwondo is not fighting.”That said, Rogan has a lot of fighting experience and has trained in Taekwondo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He competed regionally as well before giving up fighting in competitions and focusing on other projects.
