Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund are level on points as they clash in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night. Both City and Dortmund have picked up seven points from three matches, with the latter are currently ahead of the former on goal difference.
Pep Guardiola's men have already faced three strong European sides in Napoli, Monaco and Villarreal and are yet to be beaten. They beat both the Partenopei and the Yellow Submarine 2-0 while Monaco managed to hold them to a 2-2 draw.
Currently sitting seventh in the Champions League table, City are on course for automatic qualification to the round of 16.
They have fared well domestically in recent weeks, picking up back-to-back 3-1 wins over Swansea City and Bournemouth across the League Cup and the Premier League in their latest outings.
City are on an 11-match winning streak at home against German opposition and will be determined to extend that record when Dortmund pull up at the Etihad on Wednesday. But Niko Kovac's men won't make it easy for the Cityzens.
The German side kicked off their European campaign with a thrilling 4-4 draw against Juventus and it was followed by a 4-1 thumping of Athletic Bilbao. Dortmund then built on those results by beating Copenhagen 4-2 in their third outing.
This marks the first time Dortmund have scored four goals in three consecutive European Cup/Champions League matches in their history. Only Paris Saint-Germain have scored more goals in Europe's elite competition this term, netting 13.
However, they haven't been in that same free-scoring form domestically of late. They have scored just one goal in each of their last three matches across the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal, though they did still win all three.

Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction
Dortmund have been ruthles``s in attack in the Champions League so far and City's defence has shown some frailties. They are unlikely to keep the opposition attackers at bay for the length of the game.
However, we expect them to strike back in the same fashion and edge the contest with Erling Haaland, in particular, being in fine form.
Prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Borussia Dortmund
