The Cleveland Browns were dealt a blow when their starting quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, suffered a hand injury in the second quarter of the team's Week 16 clash against the Buffalo Bills. Sanders was briefly replaced by fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, who was sacked by Bills defensive end Greg Rousseau for a loss of 2 yards on his first snap of the game.

When fans saw Gabriel get sacked on the first play after he replaced Sanders, they had some wild reactions.

"This Dillon Gabriel shit is crazy i need the @FBI to investigate the @Browns asap," one tweeted.

"That's a shame," another added. "Shedeur can have my pinky if it means I don’t have to watch Dillon Gabriel play football," a third commented.

The Browns took Gabriel with the No. 94 pick in this year's NFL draft. They drafted Sanders 50 picks later.

At the time of writing, the Bills hold a 20-10 lead over the Browns at halftime.

Shedeur Sanders had a mixed first half against the Browns for as long as he was on the field. The Cleveland QB went 11 of 16 for 103 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while rushing for 35 yards on three carries.

When Sanders was on the sidelines, cameras showed that he had a bloody, lacerated pinky finger on his throwing hand. However, Sanders was able to return later in the second quarter.
