LeSean McCoy took back his criticism of Caleb Williams on Sunday. The former Philadelphia Eagles star posted an apology after watching the Bears quarterback throw for 330 yards and two touchdowns against San Francisco.

McCoy spent six seasons with the Eagles. He now works as an analyst and cohosts the "Speakeasy" show with Emmanuel Acho.

McCoy posted his message on X hours after Chicago lost to the 49ers 42-38. Williams completed 25 of 42 passes for a 100.3 passer rating without an interception.

The apology came two weeks after LeSean McCoy said Shedeur Sanders was better than Caleb Williams. He made those comments on Dec. 12, ahead of the Bears-Browns game in Week 15.

"I think he's better than Caleb right now, to be honest," McCoy said, via "Speakeasy." "I don't see Caleb playing like this. I see Caleb playing off script, running the ball, great, running the ball, great. I don't see him playing like this. Yo, Shedeur is doing this in his second start."

Williams threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns against Cleveland three days later. Sanders tossed three interceptions and failed to throw a touchdown for the first time in four starts.

Williams has six interceptions this season. He holds the NFL record for fewest picks thrown in a quarterback's first 1,000 career attempts with just 12.

Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel praised Williams on X after Sunday's game.

"Caleb shutting up some people on national tv tonight," Daniel tweeted.

The Bears (11-5) are atop the NFC North and will face the Detroit Lions (8-8) on Sunday.
