Stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 2025 contestant Pranit More heaped praise on Rohit Sharma's selflessness during the latest episode of the Hindi reality show. While speaking to Bollywood director Rohit Shetty, More acknowledged that both Rohits know how to win the hearts of fans.

Rohit Sharma has a widespread fan following due to his exploits at the top and as captain. The Nagpur-born cricketer is one of India's most influential white-ball captains, propelling the Men in Blue to the T20 World Cup title in 2024 and the Champions Trophy crown earlier this year. He had notably ushered them to the World Cup final in 2023 too.

Speaking to the acclaimed director, More stated that both he and the star cricketer never cease to amaze him for paying due credit to the team for their efforts, elaborating:

"Ek last cheez main aapko bolna chahunga ki cricket mein mera favourite cricketer na Rohit Sharma hai. Woh mujhe isliye pasand hai kyunki woh bahut selfless hai, team ki sochta hai aur bolta hai ek team utni hee better hai jitna uska captain hai. Ek baar aapka interview dekha tha. Us Interview mein hai, aapse pucha gaya tha aapne itni saari hit movies di hai, uska formula kya hai?" "Aapne bola tha ki hit movie ka formula ka credit mere upar nahin hai, yeh saari team pe jaata hai - actors, spot boys, saara crew hai, toh yeh team effort hai isliye movies hit hoti hai. Us din aapke liye mere mann mein bahut respect aa gayi. Mere liye aisa ho gaya ki donon similar hee hain. Naam Sharma ya Shetty ho, dil jeetna donon ko aata hai." (One last thing I want to say is Rohit Sharma is my favourite player in cricket. I love him because he is selfless and thinks about the team all the time. He also said once that the captain is as good as his team. I saw one of your interviews where you were asked what is your formula to make hit movies? You said that credit goes to everyone - actors, spot boys and crew members, so it's a team effort. My respect for you increased that day. For me, both are similar. Whether it's Sharma or Shetty, they know how to win hearts.)

Rohit has retired from T20Is and Tests and remains available for India only in the 50-over format.

Rohit Sharma to next feature in ODI series against South Africa

Rohit Sharma's next assignment for India will be against South Africa during the ODI series, beginning on November 30. The elegant opener was adjudged the Player of the Series during the ODI leg in Australia after clattering 202 runs in three matches.

He finished the tour with an unbeaten 121 but the visitors lost the series 1-2. According to reports, Rohit is likely to play some matches in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy edition too before facing the Proteas.
