A top AEW star was planned to join the Death Riders, but the promotion seemingly had to make changes to the plot. Jay White was set for a major push in 2025. However, the Switchblade injured his hand in March and still hasn't recovered. He was supposed to play an important role in the Owen Hart Cup. His return date is still indefinite. A recent report shed light on another scrapped creative for the injured star.
Jon Moxley and his faction were ruling the locker room before Hangman Page dethroned their One True King. In April earlier this year, the Purveyor of Violence had defeated Swerve Strickland and retained the AEW World Championship with the help of The Young Bucks at Dynasty.
As per Ibou on Self Made Sessions, Jay White was supposed to cost Swerve Strickland the World Title contest and join the Death Riders. However, the Switchblade's injury, merely days ahead of Dynasty, nixed those plans.

AEW's Jon Moxley breaks silence after ending his losing streak
The former AEW World Champion had earned three points at the start of the Continental Classic Tournament, but couldn't score any points against Claudio Castagnoli or Konosuke Takeshita.
However, on last week's Dynamite, Jon Moxley defeated Roderick Strong and earned three more points. After the victory, the One True King was interviewed backstage, and he said he would leave it all in the ring for the tournament.
"I like the Continental Classic. It's simple. Step into the ring under the lights, bring whatever you have, and everything gets laid bare; there's nowhere to hide. The deeper we get into this tournament, the more it reveals about somebody. It's measured in guts, in effort, in the ring. This is what it's supposed to be about from the beginning, man. Uphill climb against the elite of the elite for the rest of this tournament. Whatever happens, happens. I just want you to know that when it's over, I didn't leave any bullets in the chamber, I left it all out there, all of it," Moxley said.It remains to be seen who among Jon Moxley, PAC, and Claudio Castagnoli could win the Continental Classic Tournament or whether the Death Riders will be left disappointed once again.
