At last, the championship games for the Maryland boys and girls high school lacrosse state tournaments are here.
It's been a long road that's featured dozens of games across eight different divisions. The boys and girls tournaments each have four divisions: Class 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A, so there will be eight state champions crowned this week.
After playing the semifinals at multiple locations across the state, the final eight teams will all travel to Stevenson University to play at Mustang Stadium across three days.
One of the biggest standouts is Middletown, which brings both the boys and girls teams to the Class 1A championship games. Severna Park pulled off the same feat in Class 3A. The final day will feature the same matchup in each Class 4A game: No. 3 Urbana vs. No. 4 Broadneck.
