Livvy Dunne may have retired from gymnastics, but that doesn’t mean she’s quitting the gym anytime soon. The Louisiana State University alum recently opened up about the lengths she goes to stay in shape — including her workout routine.
“My current fitness goal is healing, but also getting back to where I once was,” she told Women’s Health in the first episode of Strong Like in May 2025.
She credits much of her toned figure to strength training. “It helps so much, not only in my gymnastics career but also in my everyday life. It empowers me and makes me feel strong and confident,” she told the health magazine.
The influencer walked the magazine through her routine, which usually begins with a treadmill warm-up followed by a core sequence:
Triceps V-up: 3 sets of 15 reps
Plank with hip taps: 1 minute
Hanging leg lifts: 20 reps (or more)
When it comes to diet, the 22-year-old revealed that nutrition is just as important as her workout routine. Her meals mostly consist of protein and veggies, which has helped her feel “better than ever right now.”
Since retiring, Dunne has focused on bettering herself and maintaining a healthy mindset toward fitness. “It’s all about how you feel, rather than PRing,” she explained. “When you feel strong, you know it.”
The LSU alum continues to live by this mantra — recently securing a spot as a 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model. While she was previously featured in the magazine in 2023 and 2024, this marks her first time as a cover star.
“From my first shoot in Puerto Rico to this shoot in Bermuda, I’m nearly a different person,” Dunne told SI at the time. “I feel like it’s because of those amazing women in the issue who led the way and paved this path.”
