These helpful creatures are setting up Santa's workshop in time for the festivities. However, as witnessed in the update cutscene, a brutal attack by the Deer monster has left some of them scattered throughout the forest. They need your assistance to return to their work.

The troubled elves can be found at the top of trees, near skating rinks, and buried in the snow. This guide explains how you can rescue all of them to get candy canes and other rewards.

Buy equipment from the Christmas Sack

To rescue an elf in 99 Nights in the Forest, you'll need equipment like a Sled, Ladder, Shovel, or Ice Skates. These items can be purchased from the giant Christmas Sack close to the Missing Kid Locations board. The sack is available from Day 1 itself and can be accessed by all players.

All items in the Christmas Sack cost Mossy Coins, a currency that you can obtain from treasure chests and by killing Cultists. These coins are also used to buy items from the Furniture Trader.

Here are the prices of all the equipment in the Christmas Sack:

• Sled - 25 Mossy Coins
• Ladder - 15 Mossy Coins
• Shovel - 20 Mossy Coins

• Sled - Use it to ferry elves that are trapped in snow. Besides its usual application, you can use it for traversal.
• Ladder - Use it to save elves stuck on the top of trees.
• Ice Skates - Use them to rescue elves near skating rinks.
• Shovel - Use it to help elves trapped beneath the snow. They are noticeable from afar because their legs stick out from the snow.

To utilize any of the items, you must press and hold the E key when the option to interact with an elf is available. If it isn't, this means you'll need a different piece of equipment to rescue the creature.
