De'Von Achane and Jaylen Wright are two of the most promising running backs in the NFL, and they have also become the latest "victims" of the league office's "santization" efforts.
During a 34-20 win at the New York Jets last Sunday, the Miami Dolphins teammates celebrated a first-quarter touchdown by doing the nose wipe and finger guns gestures. On Saturday, they were announced to have earned a combined fine of nearly $15,000:

De'Von Achane set to play vs. Steelers after rib injury scare
Despite their turmoil in the receiving game, the Dolphins are still in the playoff hunt thanks to their rejuvenated running game. And De'Von Achane has been a major factor in that, having covered 1,126 yards and scored seven touchdowns in nearly 200 carries.
During that aforementioned game against the Jets, however, he bruised his ribs, on which coach Mike McDaniel commented during his press conference the day after:
"I know he's highly motivated to play. And we're benefiting (from) an extra day before the (Monday night) game. He was very clear during the game that if I needed him, he could go out there, however it was uncomfortable. It felt better today."The injury caused him to be limited on the first two days of this week's practice for Monday's game at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Nevertheless, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a positive outlook on him on Thursday:
“He looked good. They’re doing what they need to be cautious of him as he’s running the ball, catching.”On Friday, Achane provided this update:
“It’s better than when it first happened. Just a precaution. Just to make sure because I don’t get hit in practice, so my next time getting hit will be on Monday.”And finally on Saturday, just before the Dolphins traveled to Pennsylvania for their final practice, McDaniel said:
“As it stands now, he’s ready to roll.”Kickoff for the Steelers game is at 8:15 pm ET on ESPN/ABC.
