How to get Fallen Angel Wings in FFXIV

FFXIV has introduced some fantastic optional cosmetics over the years, including the Fallen Angel Wings. These flashy, black wings allow you to channel your inner Windian from Breath of Fire, or simply look a little mischievous. They aren’t the only wings in the game you can wear, either. A cheaper option is no doubt going to be the Archangel Wings, but that’s not what you’re here for.

The good news is that you can get the Fallen Angel Wings in FFXIV anytime. The bad news is that it’s going to be extraordinarily expensive, regardless of what server you play on. Whether you farm the item itself, or the gil to buy it on the Market Board, this one isn’t going to be easy, unless you’re already loaded with gil.

Where to find Fallen Angel Wings in FFXIV

The Fallen Angel Wings are available in FFXIV from Edelina in Mor Dhona (22.1, 4.8) for the cost of 500 Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers. That is an incredibly high price, no matter how you slice it. Each Bicolor Gemstone Voucher costs 100 Bicolor Gemstones, so that’s 50,000 Gemstones you need to farm from completing FATEs. If the gemstones sound familiar, it’s because you needed 600 of them to buy one of the items for your Dawntrail Relic Weapons.

If you’re going to farm them yourself, get ready for hundreds of hours of grinding FATEs. You’ll want to focus on FATEs that have a bonus attached to them for greater rewards. It’s much easier if you do it in a group of a few players, too. If you have a few friends that want to farm Bicolors, or even just want to level some jobs, this is a solid way to do it.

Then, when you have 1,500 Bicolor Gemstones, take them to a vendor to trade them for Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers, and resume your grind. You can do it in a few places:

  • Old Sharlayan (Gadfrid): 12.8, 10.5
  • Radz-at-Han (Sajareen): 11.1, 10.1

Once you have all 500 Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers, you can head to Mor Dhona, and turn them in for Fallen Angel Wings in FFXIV. This is going to take a long time no matter how many friends you bring with you, that’s for sure.

However, I can understand if you don’t want to commit weeks or even months of potential grinding to getting all those Bicolor Gemstones. Your only other option is to either buy the Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers from the Market Board, or just buy the Fallen Angel Wings on the Market Board in FFXIV.

The price is going to vary from server to server, but I wouldn’t expect to spend anything less than 50M Gil. On Diabolos, at the time of writing, there is only one person selling them, and they’re asking 150,000,000 Gil for them. You can shop around to other servers, though, and see what the prices are, because it’s possible you may be able to sneak a pair for a much lower price than what I’m seeing. That all depends on the playerbase.
