A hidden camera caught a Southern California couple’s roommate allegedly spraying their food with toxic insect repellent.

The stomach-churning footage appeared to show the roommate — identified by the victims as a man with whom they shared a Santa Clarita Valley home — wearing a gas mask and spraying groceries and a bowl of fruit, as well as inside a pantry, according to KTLA.

The couple then became mysteriously ill.

“We were feeling funny and went to the hospital…I have liver damage, and she’s had health issues on top of the ones she already has,” one of the victims, David Sonhopper, told KTLA. “We weren’t really sure what it [was] … we got blood tests done and everything.”

Their doctor then informed them that their symptoms were those of poison victims.

The couple then looked at additional footage from months earlier and saw their roommate allegedly spraying their food with insect repellent again.

“We all have our own section of the house, and then we share the kitchen,” Billy Sonhopper said.

The roommate, identified as Timothy Bradbury, also allegedly broke into their room, cut up their clothes and stole medication, IDs and more since living together.

“He’s a psycho,” David added.

Authorities responded to the home on Tuesday night found Bradbury barricaded inside, resulting in an hours-long standoff before law enforcement coaxed him out. The couple said Bradbury was charged by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department with a misdemeanor and released.
