Israel Adesanya's time in Thailand is turning out to be a hoot and a half for fight fans. 'The Last Stylebender' was recently taped helping his coach, Eugene Bareman, demonstrate a technique when things went wrong in the most hilarious way possible.
Bareman was seemingly demonstrating counter-punching techniques at Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA when he accidentally punched the former UFC middleweight champion in the face, causing the Nigerian-born Kiwi to promptly pull back and check for injuries.

Nevertheless, the MMA coach apologized, and Adesanya laughed it off, but fight fans wasted no time, taking to social media to have a laugh or two at the pair's expense.

However, he is currently on a three-fight skid, most recently suffering a second-round TKO loss to Nassourdine Imavov.
It's not about belts anymore for Israel Adesanya
Reclaiming the middleweight title does not appear to be a priority for Israel Adesanya. When he returns to the octagon, Adesanya hopes to fight more freely, much like he did during his early days in the UFC.
During his first title reign, Adesanya faced major criticism for a lack of finishes and several low-activity performances, most notably his infamous bout against Yoel Romero, where both men were widely criticized for their reluctance to engage.
It appears that his priority now is to put on stellar performances. Speaking during a Q&A session at Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA, 'The Last Stylebender' proclaimed:
"For me, it’s not about belts anymore. I’ve got two shiny belts at home. They look good. But I just want to fight. I just want to do things like I did on the way to the belt... I still fought really well when I was defending the belt, but I want to fight more freely. I want to try some risky sh**t like I used to. Remember the [Brad] Tavares fight? At the end of the first round, I went for an Imanari roll, and I failed. I want to try shit like that again." [H/T: MMA Fighting]Why did you not like this content?
