"He's got it all" - WWE urged to give 43-year-old star the "damn ball" by DDP

WWE has been urged to push a 43-year-old by legend Diamond Dallas Page (DDP). The veteran has been a former three-time WCW World Champion and has kept a keen eye on the talent in WWE.

During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, DDP was asked about the comparisons between his career and that of former U.S. champion LA Knight. DDP praised The Megastar and said WWE should give him the chance to run.

"I love that kid, man. I love the tenacity of the stick to it, it took him a long time to get to that character. And he was good before that, but now he’s great. Hopefully at some point he gets a chance to really get that ball, because he can run with it, give him that damn ball, because that cat, he's got it all," he said.

Knight was written off WWE TV a few weeks ago, following a vicious backstage attack by The Vision on RAW. Bronson Reed delivered a Tsunami to him on the roof of a car, and he had to be carried out in an ambulance.

Many fans have also been vocal about Knight receiving a push, highlighting his charisma and how over he is with the live crowd. Despite being the main event scene, the 43-year-old star is yet to have his breakout moment.

DDP addressed the notion that LA Knight copies popular names

Critics of LA Knight have pointed out that his gimmick is more of an imitation of what The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin used to do in WWE.

However, DDP was not on board with these comparisons. He said that his character is more than just that.

"People who say that he's mimicking this character, (or) that character, that's so wrong. He's a piece of all that. He grew up on all of us coming up wanting to do what we do, and now he's doing it at its highest level," he said.

LA Knight is one of the popular stars on the WWE roster, and it remains to be seen what the creative has in store for him once he returns to action.
