On December 20, BTS' members Jin, Jungkook, and Taehyung appeared live on Weverse together. The session included karaoke performances and unstructured conversation. One brief moment, however, quickly caught close attention. Jin stood with his back turned while cleaning the table. At the same time, Jungkook placed two small items in front of him.
Jin swiftly picked them up and moved them aside. The SEVEN star followed his movement almost immediately. Some viewers suggested they resembled disposable vapes. Backlash followed after allegations surfaced that the BTS maknae was using vapes. Since both are adults, fans mainly joked about Jin’s quick reaction, also defending the artists.
"He is an adult leave him alone," an X user commented. He is an adult leave him alone
Many are praising Jin for his thoughtful gesture, saying it gives off an elder-sibling energy.
The way he ran to clean it up, I fcking adore drunk jin
seokjin is so funny he really got that oldest sibling energy and i understand him LMAO
He removed the brand logos and the snacks while he was drunk—how responsible and considerate he is. The brands he represents are extremely lucky. His mind is as attractive as the handsomeness of his face.
Meanwhile, others defended them, saying the members are in their 30s and should be allowed to make their own choices. They emphasized that it is their personal life and should not be subject to public interference.
Leave them alone, I mean, these guys are 30 years old and people still want to give their opinion on what they do or don't do
MAN LEAVE THEM ALONE THEY ARE GROWN A*S MEN IN THEIR 30s THEY DO WHATEVER THEY WANT MIND UR BUSSINESS
So what ? They are 30+ they can do whatever they want it's their life not yours! Leave him alone
BTS' Jungkook recently faced online scrutiny as dating rumours spread
Jungkook and Winter are facing intense online scrutiny over persistent dating rumours. The chatter points to matching tattoos, similar in-ear buds, alike nail art, and near-identical outfits. There has been no confirmation from either artist’s agency about a relationship.
However, on December 10, SM Entertainment announced it would take legal steps against malicious posts targeting Winter. The company said it found numerous items defaming her character, posts meant to publicly disparage the artist, and s*xually harassing content across DC Inside, Women’s Era, Nate Pann, Instiz, Theqoo, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
SM added that reports filed through its malicious-comment hotline, Kwangya 119, and internal monitoring informed their response. The agency said it will broaden legal procedures gradually and pursue offenders without leniency. After several quiet days, both performers resumed contact with fans without addressing the rumours.
Winter left a short Bubble note on December 13, asking fans to keep warm and not catch a cold. The Bangtan Boy posted a selfie the following day and held a Weverse Live on December 15. During the stream, he spoke about wanting to return with new music, otherwise avoiding the dating speculation.
This year, BTS' Jungkook was discharged from the military in June alongside fellow bandmate Jimin. Since then, he has stayed connected with fans through live streams. He is set to make a full-group comeback with BTS next spring.
