Newcastle and Southwell are the venues for today's offering on the Flat, with hat-trick seekers Mondammej and William Dewhirst set to battle it out.

2.56 Newcastle - Hat-trick seekers Mondammej and William Dewhirst clash.

The highlight on a decent Newcastle card comes in the way of the 2.56 Weekly £5 Free Bet With Betuk Handicap where two exciting penalty carriers clash. Top-weighted Mondammej has been a revelation since undergoing wind surgery, winning four of his last six starts including finishing second twice, all at Newcastle. Anthony Brittain has got this one firing on all cylinders and he will be very hard to stop as he seeks the hat-trick.

The other hat-trick seeker is William Dewhirst, another who loves Newcastle - winning here on four occasions. He has a 5lb penalty to carry for his recent course win but has formed a successful partnership with Paul Mulrennan who looks to steer him to another success.

Bright chased home Mondammej last time and is of interest along with the consistent Pals Battalion who runs in the Middleham Park colours for David O'Meara.

7.30 Southwell - Penalty carrying Master Of My Fate headlines.

The feature Extra Winnings With Betuk Acca Club Handicap at Southwell looks an interesting race where Master Of My Fate appears the one to beat as he searches for the hat-trick. John & Sean Quinn's four-year-old has been in unstoppable form, dominating his rivals with an impressive display at Lingfield. He is 5lb well-in for this race and will take all the beating.

Blind Beggar has been running well recently but last time struggled to see out the 6f at Chelmsford. He switches back to his optimal trip of 5f today under usual pilot Alistair Rawlinson.

Jumbeau is unexposed on the all-weather and completes the shortlist.

8.00 Southwell - Unexposed recent winner Em Four faces 6 other rivals.

Jamie Osborne's three-year-old Em Four made all when landing the victory at Chelmsford last time on only his third career start. He is fancied to follow up on his recent success under William Carver in this Win £1M With Betmgm's Golden Goals Handicap.

Rob Hornby gets the leg up on Star Chorus who has been an expensive horse to follow and is yet to win on five career starts. He made his handicap debut last time and has been eased a further 2lbs, which could give him a chance here.

Kiss Me My Love drops back in trip today which is likely to suit, and Kinetic Force is another of interest.

Best of the rest

Down at Southwell, Camelot filly Manara looks to get the four-timer up for Amo Racing in the Weekly Free Bets With Betmgm Extra Handicap (5.30), but will have to be wary of Spirit Of Jura.

At 6pm, Ash Wednesday goes for the hat-trick but will have to carry a 5lb penalty in the hands of Jack Mitchell.
