Harrison Bader shares major appreciation for Phillies fans: 'most incredible fanbase'

1 hour ago 2

The Philadelphia Phillies fanbase has been one of the best in recent baseball history. They're passionate, not afraid of letting the players know how they feel, and supporting them as much as possible.

While someone like Trea Turner got to experience that first-hand, with the standing ovation to get his season back on track, others haven't had such a luxury.

But Harrison Bader revealed just how much of an impact the Phillies fans had on him. Despite playing just 50 games with the Phillies, Bader, during an appearance on The Show Podcast (Ep. 185), shared a lot of appreciation for Phillies fans.

Phillies fans called 'most incredible' by Harrison Bader

"Probably some of the best baseball I've ever been a part of," Bader said. "That was the most incredible fanbase that I've ever had an opportunity to play in front of for a couple of months."

Bader's praise for Phillies fans and the Phillies organization in general is a good sign. Not only did Bader, who played just a few months with the Phillies, feel the support, but he felt it to such a degree that he said it was the best fanbase he's played in front of.

That's some significant praise, as Bader has played for the New York Mets and the New York Yankees in his career. But he viewed the Phillies fans as the best.

Now, Bader is going to the San Francisco Giants on a $20.5 million, two-year deal. While the Phillies could've tried bringing him back on such a deal, Dave Dombrowski and company have other plans for the outfield.

Bader was a great player for the Phillies during his brief time with the team. He provided a .306 batting average and incredible defense in center field.

He was exactly what the Phillies needed last year, and his brief stint in Philadelphia will be remembered as a great one among Phillies fans for years to come.

And most importantly, Bader will look back on his brief Phillies tenure with fondness. Not only was he playing the best baseball of his career, but he got to play in front of what he called "The most incredible fanbase" that he's ever played for in his career.
