Fans have flooded social media with messages for Greg Biffle on what would have been his 56th birthday, five days after a deadly plane crash that took his life.

A small business jet, Cessna Citation 550, en route to Florida, crashed at the Statesville Regional Airport after about 10 minutes in the air last week (December 18). Biffle and his immediate family were among the seven people who were killed in the tragic incident.

Fans also shared their prayers and offered kind words for Biffle, who would have turned 56 this Tuesday, December 23.

"RIP, Happy heavenly birthday, Greg," a fan wrote.

@LegendsNascar @NickyK1776 RIP, Happy heavenly birthday, Greg.

"A great man, with a wonderful family. Rest easy Biffle Family. Enjoy heaven," another commented. "So sad. My heart breaks for their entire family surviving them. RIP BIFF!" yet another replied.

Greg Biffle was loved by fans for his racing skills and his work outside of motorsports. He went out of his way and risked his life to help communities. The Washington native flew his helicopter to deliver supplies and aid in North Carolina during the devastating floods after Hurricane Helene.

"Love and prayers to all the people who knew them. And to Emma's mother who is to be thought of as well," a fan wrote. "Happy birthday and RACE IN PIECE 🙏💔😢," another shared.

Greg Biffle's plane took off for Sarasota, Florida, but returned to the airport and crashed about 10 minutes after departure. The aircraft collided with trees and a fence before bursting into flames. The crash took a total of seven lives, including Biffle's wife, Cristina, and their son, Ryder. Biffle's elder daughter, Emma, who he had from his first marriage with Nicole Lunders, was also present on the flight.
