Hailey Bieber attended the Wall Street Journal Innovator Awards in New York City in a black leather look straight out of “The Matrix.”
Honored with the 2025 Beauty Innovator Award, the creator and CCO of Rhode Beauty sealed the major industry deal in May, with the brand acquired by Elf Beauty for $1 billion.
Held at MOMA, Bieber slipped into the vibe of the sleek New York art scene with head-to-toe black leather, designed by Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent.
The design choice was apt, as Vaccarello, who received the WSJ Fashion Innovator award in 2022, presented Bieber with her trophy.
Her look consisted of a black leather bustier and matching pencil skirt, topped with an oversized jacket. With zippers and hardware-clad belt buckles, the look was edgy and chic.
On her feet were the same classic white slingback heels that completed the look on the spring 2026 runway just a few weeks ago. She accessorized with a diamond bracelet and pearl drop earrings from Tiffany & Co.
This look was a total 180 from last week’s corseted couture at the Academy Museum Gala.
For that event, she opted for a corseted silk moire gown by Schiaparelli that she could barely sit in, as opposed to last night’s more flexible ensemble.
