Lexie Hull admits to rival teams' jealousy of Indiana Fever
Caitlin Clark's superstardom immediately put the Indiana Fever on the center stage of the WNBA after the team drafted her in 2024. However, the sudden power shift in the league didn't come without some narratives, and one of them was the alleged jealousy against the Fever team.
Lexie Hull also saw a massive rise in her popularity since 2024 and became one of the players taking center stage beside Clark. In her interview with Glamour magazine, Hull opened up about how the rest of the league viewed the Fever.
"I think there is a level of jealousy when it comes to the Fever, just because of the media attention and the fans that have shown up for us ever since Caitlin got here," Hull said. "We've heard people and players and teams talking in their locker room about, 'We can't let the Fever win.'"However, contrary to popular belief, for Lexie Hull, jealousy among teams was not necessarily a bad thing. Hull added that with teams having extra motivation to beat the Fever, it only fueled competition, and it was needed in the WNBA.
