Giants rumor could lead to signing of former $90 million Pro Bowl receiver

The New York Giants could look to add more talent to their wide receiver room this offseason, and it sounds like the team could be interested in a reunion with a veteran playmaker.

According to Marshall Green of Giants Chat Sports, head coach John Harbaugh recently talked to Odell Beckham Jr., who is pursuing a comeback to the NFL.

"I’ve been told that John Harbaugh and Odell Beckham Jr. have talked recently," Green said on X.

Beckham hasn't played in the NFL since 2024 with the Miami Dolphins, but he expressed interest in a return to football during the Fanatics Flag Football contest on Saturday.

"Looking forward to hopefully getting the opportunity to play this year," Beckham said in an interview with Kay Adams.

In the interview, Beckham also praised Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart and seemed to love the idea of playing with him in New York.

"That sounds great," Beckham said on the possibility of playing with Dart. "If that opportunity presents itself, I would love to do that and be excited. He's [Dart is] a good dude."

The Giants have a crowded receiver group, but Matt Nagy's offense still doesn't have a clear-cut No. 2 receiver opposite Malik Nabers.

Though Beckham is way past his peak, the three-time Pro Bowler could still be a viable receiving threat for the Giants and provide quality veteran depth. Beckham would also be cheap to sign, meaning there's barely any risk in bringing him back.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Beckham has renewed interest from franchises as he plans to play in 2026. New York would be a logical landing spot, as receiver is still a need for the Giants, and Beckham would receive the chance to finish his NFL story in the place where it all started.
