Bills' top free agent signing has huge question mark entering 2026

1 hour ago 2

The Buffalo Bills finally addressed their receiver issue this offseason with Chicago Bears star DJ Moore coming to the AFC East.

It gives Josh Allen the No. 1 weapon he's craved, and it also raises the floor for the other weapons on the roster.

With Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer, and Tyrell Shavers, the Bills have a good group of weapons to attack 2026 with.

But CBS Sports' Jared Dubin isn't sure whether Moore can be "the" guy for Buffalo's offense.

“The open question is whether Moore still has the ability to lead the target tree after a season in which he collected just 85 targets as the Bears added multiple weapons for Caleb Williams around him,” Dubin wrote.

“Whether he can Brady can recapture what they once had, and whether Allen can bring the best out of Moore's game, is going to play a significant role in determining both the floor and ceiling of this Bills passing game.”

Can Moore be the WR leader?

Well, Buffalo signed him to be that, right?

Last season was a dip in form, mainly because of the other weapons around him, but in Moore's two years prior to that, he posted 966 yards, 6 TDs from 98 receptions (2024) and 1,364 yards, 8 TDs from 96 receptions (2023).

So, the production was there.

But we know Shakir will get targets, plus the Bills aren't likely to abandon the run game with James Cook either, so there will be a fight for targets. Plus, I haven't mentioned Dalton Kincaid yet.

So, there are plenty of weapons at Allen's disposal, but the Bills are banking on Moore being the top outlet for Allen.

Can he still be "that" guy? We're about to find out.
