The New York Giants are looking to have a great season under John Harbaugh in his first season with the franchise. It was a big move for New York to bring in a coach like Harbaugh, who has a long history of success in the NFL.

The Giants want to continue improving, as they believe they have the pieces to do so. In June, they even brought back a former fan favorite in Odell Beckham Jr.

“The New York Giants have signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., the team announced Monday. The Giants were deliberate throughout the process of potentially signing the 33-year-old wide receiver as a free agent. Giants coach John Harbaugh has a history with Beckham from the 2023 season in Baltimore,” ESPN’s Jordan Ranaan wrote.

Beckham has the potential to be a roster casualty, but he has put up solid numbers during the preseason. On Friday night, he gave his outlook on whether he believes he will make the official roster.

“I feel like I gave everything I had," said Beckham. "Super grateful for the opportunity and, at this point, it's just -- it's in God's hands, you know? I know that I have a good feeling about myself. I feel like there's ball to be played, there's plays to be made and, right now, I'm just truly grateful for that opportunity, that experience.”

After the game, Harbaugh met with the media. The Giants head coach spoke highly of Beckham, potentially hinting that he could make the roster.

“Yes, he has done enough to make an NFL roster, for sure," Harbaugh said. "He's played well. He's gotten better as camp's gone along. He deserves credit for that. He's done a really good job with it."

It would be something special for Beckham to make the roster where he became an overnight sensation. It was with the Giants that he made the spectacular one-handed catch that kids everywhere still try to recreate.

Beckham had a very good final preseason game, which will hopefully leave a lasting impression on the coaching staff. Based on what Harbaugh said after the game, there has to be a strong belief that Beckham could be on the official 53-man roster.
