Giants' 4X All-Star infielder is 'perfect' trade target for Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays are one of the many teams around baseball that will be looking for roster upgrades at the Aug. 3 deadline. 

Tampa Bay is holding on to a small two-game lead in the AL East over the New York Yankees. 

There are potential trades the Rays can make that could help them capture the division title.

While back-to-back AL Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal is one possibility for the Rays, Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller has them looking to the infield for their "perfect" trade match. 

Miller's trade proposal for the Rays involves the San Francisco Giants, who have a four-time All-Star that would fit nicely at the top of Tampa Bay's lineup. 

"The Giants' second baseman [Luis Arraez] is on pace for what would be his fourth consecutive season of at least 180 hits, while Tampa Bay has gotten a whole lot of nothing on offense from its primary middle infield trio of Richie Palacios, Ben Williamson and Taylor Walls," Miller wrote. 

With Junior Caminero, Yandy Diaz, and Jonathan Aranda, the Rays could use another high-impact hitter.

Arraez doesn't have a lot of power, but he's unlike any hitter in baseball thanks to his super high contact rate and virtually nonexistent strikeout rate. 

Manager Kevin Cash could slot him as the Rays' leadoff hitter while moving Diaz to the two-hole.
