CM Punk will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker on the January 5, 2026, episode of Monday Night RAW, which will be the show's one-year anniversary on Netflix. Breakker secured a world title shot by pinning Punk in the Men's WarGames Match at Survivor Series.
The 28-year-old has been carrying a lot of momentum and appears to be the favorite in his match against The Second City Saint. However, Punk could receive some unexpected help to retain his title against The Dog of WWE next month.
In a shocking turn of events, CM Punk's archenemy, Seth Rollins, could return and help the Best in the World defeat Bron Breakker. The Architect has been away from television since the post-Crown Jewel episode of RAW, where he was kicked out of The Vision.

While The Visionary was a heel before he was sidelined, he is likely to return as a babyface. Rollins could put his never-ending hatred for Punk aside for a minute and focus on exacting revenge on Breakker for betraying him.
He may not be medically cleared to compete, but The Revolutionary could still interrupt during the World Heavyweight Championship match next month and distract The Dog of WWE, allowing Punk to secure the win.
It may not be intentional, but by doing this, he would end up helping his bitter rival, CM Punk, retain the title on January 5. That said, this scenario is only based on speculation, and nothing has been confirmed.
CM Punk was attacked by Bron Breakker on RAW
CM Punk made his first appearance on RAW since Survivor Series: WarGames and addressed the upcoming title match against Bron Breakker. The young star had been firing shots at Punk for the last few weeks, and The Second City Saint finally responded.
In typical CM Punk fashion, he cut a fiery promo on Breakker, putting him on notice ahead of their clash for the world title next month. In the main event of the show, Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio with the help of the mystery attacker, who was later revealed to be Austin Theory.
Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed came out after the match to attack Mysterio, but The Second City Saint took them out on the stage with a steel chair. While Punk was distracted in the ring by the mystery man's unmasking, The Dog of WWE came from behind and hit a vicious Spear on the World Heavyweight Champion. The show went off the air with Breakker sending a stern warning to a fallen Punk.
