NFL insider Albert Breer shared his thoughts on wide receiver George Pickens' future with the Dallas Cowboys. On Wednesday, he shared an article on SI responding to a question by a user on X on whether Jerry Jones and his team would trade him before the Nov. 4 deadline.

"My guess is they won't trade Pickens," Breer said. "He's on pace for 91 catches, 1,456 yards and 13 touchdowns, and yes, he's a free agent after this year. I'd say things are trending towards Pickens being tagged in March, which would allow Dallas to either work out a long-term deal, trade him or keep him on the roster for another year. "I don't think his trade value now is marketdly better than it will be in March, for what it's worth. So, I'm not sure there's any benefit to acting on it now, either."

In March, the Steelers traded George Pickens and a 2027 sixth rounder to the Cowboys for a 2026 third round pick and a 2027 fifth round pick. He will be entering the final year of his four-year rookie deal and has been a key player on Brian Schottenheimer's offense.

In eight games, the wide receiver has recorded 685 yards and six TDs receiving. Two weeks ago, Jerry Jones shared his thoughts on providing George Pickens with an extension.

"He is doing more than we did expect or that we could've expected," Jones said while speaking with the press. "And what's really special is, he's a real plus to have around the team. He's a real plus around his teammates, he's a great plus around those coaches, and those coaches really think highly of him. ... So we'll weigh that. "If things really went like we want them to go, that, certainly, we need to think about having some (cap) room available if we're gonna pay a second receiver at that level."

In August 2024, the Cowboys agreed to a four-year $136 million deal with their other wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb. He missed three games this season due to an ankle injury and has tallied 406 yards and one TD receiving.

CeeDee Lamb shares his honest thoughts on George Pickens

During Wednesday's press conference, Lamb shared his honest thoughts about having George Pickens as a part of the team.

"That's my guy," Lamb said. "I feel like we've grown this bond in a matter of minutes. ... I want the best for him, whether that's him making the most money in the NFL at the position or whatever that looks like. But I do want him to win."

George Pickens also weighed in on his future in Dallas, stating that it is up to Jerry Jones to provide him with an extension. His main goal is to win games for the franchise on the field.

The Cowboys (3-4-1) will face the Cardinals (2-5) on Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET
