Frankie Kazarian talks about the scary moment where former WWE star almost died: “Nobody cared about him"

Wrestling veteran Frankie Kazarian was signed to AEW from 2019 to 2023. His tenure in the company was underwhelming as he only managed to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship once. Nevertheless, he had matches with many popular stars, including Christian Cage, Adam Cole, and others.

Chris Van Vliet recently interviewed Kazarian. They spoke about many things, like the former All Elite Wrestling star's career and his run in the Tony Khan-led company. Interestingly, they also discussed the time when the 48-year-old was involved in a scary spot in TNA with former WWE star Christopher Daniels.

Bound for Glory 2009 featured an ultimate X match for the TNA X Division Championship. Its participants were Amazing Red, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Christopher Daniels, Homicide, and Suicide. Under Suicide's mask was none other than Frankie Kazarian.

Kazarian and Daniels had a terrifying fall during this showdown. The latter landed awkwardly, and he could have died if luck had not been on his side.

In the above interview, Vliet asked the TNA legend about this incident.

"You were part of that scary moment where Christopher Daniels almost died," he said.

Kazarian replied by saying that he also could have died that day. However, nobody cared since he was portraying the Suicide character.

“I did too, yeah. But it was [the wrestler] Suicide, so nobody cared about him,” said the TNA legend.

Frankie Kazarian says that he was feeling undervalued and underappreciated in AEW

Frankie Kazarian talked about his final days in the Tony Khan-led promotion in the above interview. He said that he left because he knew that his in-ring career wasn't going to last long, and he was feeling undervalued and underappreciated.

"With the time I have left, I want to give that time to somebody that is going to value and appreciate it more so than I felt it was being valued and appreciated at the end of AEW,” he said.

Only time will tell what the future holds for the former AEW World Tag Team Champion. Hopefully, he will work for Tony Khan again someday.
