A WWE and AEW veteran opened up on his plan to retire from in-ring competition in a couple of years. The legend also disclosed his plans after retirement while responding to a fan.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dustin Rhodes (fka Goldust) says he will retire in a couple of years. The Natural has been an active in-ring performer since the late 1980s and has wrestled in major promotions such as WCW and the Stamford-based promotion. Dustin has been signed with AEW since the promotion's inception in 2019.

After his last match in July 2025, Dustin Rhodes has been out of action as he had to undergo surgery. Meanwhile, a fan on the X social media platform asked Dustin whether he considers doing a podcast about his time in pro wrestling.

Rhodes took notice and responded, saying he plans on doing a podcast after he retires from wrestling in a couple of years. He also took a shot at current podcasters who talk negatively about wrestlers:

"Yes! When I retire in a couple, I plan on it. What I won't do is talk bad about people in the biz. Too many podcaster/wrestlers talk sh*t about our brothers and sisters" Dustin wrote.

Former WWE star recently provided an update on his recovery

The former WWE star, Dustin Rhodes last competed in a Chicago street fight against Kyle Fletcher on a Collision episode in July, where he lost his TNT Championship. The Natural had to undergo double knee replacement surgery and has been on the road to recovery for months.

Amid his absence, a fan on the X social media platform wondered whether Dustin Rhodes is recovering well. Dustin provided an update stating that he is recovering slowly and steadily:

"Yessir. Slow and steady boss," Dustin wrote.

Fans will have to wait and see when Rhodes will be back inside the squared circle.
