A former Philadelphia Eagles running back is hanging up his cleats.
According to a post on his Instagram page, former Eagles running back Boston Scott, who hasn't played a snap in the league since 2023, announced he is retiring from the NFL
"Looking forward to the next chapter of my life," Scott wrote in the post.
Originally drafted in the sixth-round of the 2018 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints, Scott spent six seasons in the NFL, all of which came with the Eagles.
Philly scooped up Scott in December of 2018 after he was cut loose by the Saints. He appeared in 75 games (12 starts) for Philly from 2018-23, serving as a backup and special teams contributor.
Scott's best season came in 2020, when tallied career-highs in rushing yards (374) and receiving yards (212). He finishes his career with 302 carries for 1,295 yards, 71 catches for 566 receiving yards and 17 total touchdowns.
Scott might best be known for the moniker of "Giant killer" after he routinely torched New York during his career.
The Louisiana Tech product posted 422 rushing yards, 222 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns in 10 career games against Big Blue.
