The former AEW World Tag Team Champions could walk away from the company due to frustrations regarding their setbacks. The stars are set for a major match this Wednesday on Dynamite.

The former AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks might go away for a while. The duo lost their company EVP titles at All In Texas earlier this year. They have been disrespected and mocked by the Tony Khan-led promotion ever since then as well. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson have faced several setbacks, including the loss at WrestleDream 2025 against Jurassic Express.

They also failed to win the 8-man tag match for $400,000 on Collision last Saturday. Meanwhile, The Young Bucks are slated to wrestle in a four-way tag encounter against FTR, JetSpeed, and Jurassic Express to determine the No.1 contenders for the AEW World Tag Team titles this Wednesday on Fright Night Dynamite.

Considering their recent fate, The Bucks could suffer yet another defeat this Wednesday. After failing another opportunity, the frustrations could grow even more to a point that Matthew and Nicholas Jackson could go away from the company for a while, for a hiatus.

The duo went on a hiatus after losing their World tag titles to Private Party last year before returning after months. The same could happen if they lose this Wednesday as well.

Top AEW star recently teased retirement

The top AEW star, Matthew Jackson of The Young Bucks recently hinted at retirement. Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Matt opened up on legends like John Cena, Bryan Danielson, and Sting having retired and how The Bucks are also not far behind:

"It's weird, like, seeing our friend Christopher Daniels retire this year, actually was earlier this year. Sting and, Bryan Danielson. John Cena's ending his career soon. So it's it's very weird. It's like a whole generation is wrapping up, and we're not far behind it, which kind of scares me. I think it's a reminder of your own mortality, too, in a way where, you know, oh, we're at that chapter in our career. So, yeah, it is, it is emotional," Matt said.

It remains to be seen how The Young Bucks fare in the four-way tag match this Wednesday.
