"That’s the final nail in the Pelicans’ coffin. 😂 They’ll be lucky to hit 10 wins this season, might as well stop playing before more injuries pile up," one fan tweeted.@ShamsCharania That’s the final nail in the Pelicans’ coffin. 😂 They’ll be lucky to hit 10 wins this season , might as well stop playing before more injuries pile up.

Here are other fan reactions.
@ShamsCharania 7 to 10 days for a Zion hammy is 2 to 3 months in real time. You'll see. It never fails.
Through five games, Williamson is leading the Pelicans with 22.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.0 steals per game on 48.7% shooting. The two-time NBA All-Star also leads the league in free-throw attempts per game at 11.4.
However, despite solid numbers from its star forward, New Orleans has started the season on a six-game losing skid, with three of the losses coming by 31 or more points.
Williamson will miss his first game on Tuesday, as the Pelicans battle the Charlotte Hornets. He is also expected to miss games against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday and the Phoenix Suns on Monday. His earliest return could be on Nov. 12 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Pelicans HC Willie Green on fans' criticisms: "I understand it"
New Orleans Pelicans coach Willie Green addressed the fans' criticisms of the team's slow start. During the Pelicans' practice session on Monday, Green said:
"I understand it. I totally understand the frustration from fans. We all feel the same way and we want to get it right."Several reports have indicated that Green is in a hot seat amid the Pelicans' dismal start. Green told reporters that the team will continue to work hard.
"We’re all frustrated, want to be better," Green said. "We’re all a part of making sure that we do everything we can to be better."While Zion Williamson is out, the Pelicans will likely tap Saddiq Bey and Herbert Jones to fill his minutes. Rookie guard Jeremiah Fears could also be in line to have an increased role.
