Fernando Alonso and girlfriend Melissa Jimenez turn heads in $8M+ Mercedes Supercar in Monaco

Fernando Alonso was seen driving through Monaco alongside his partner Melissa Jimenez, drawing attention to their ride for the night. The two-time world champion was spotted in one of the rarest road cars ever - a $8M+ Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Straßenversion.

The clip was from Monaco, where Alonso resides, and quickly went viral on social media. MotorsportMP4 shared it on X and wrote:

“Fernando Alonso and Melissa Jimenez in Monaco with a Mercedes CLK GTR.”

The Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Straßenversion remains one of the most unique road-legal cars ever built. Mercedes created the race car first to compete in the FIA GT1 championship in the late 1990s, when McLaren and Porsche were dominating the league. They then produced road versions to satisfy the rules.

Only 26 such cars exist, making it one of the rarest Mercedes models on the planet. Beneath its simple silver body sits endurance racing DNA, with a 6.9-liter V12 engine, 600 horsepower, and a top speed of 200+ mph. The engine is mounted directly to the chassis with a classic heavy noise, and almost no insulation. It is closer to a race car than anything else Mercedes has on the road.

Despite that, the CLK GTR still left the factory with basic comforts such as leather trim, air conditioning, and traction control. At more than $1.5 million on release and valued at around $10 million, it went into the record books as one of the most expensive production cars ever sold.

Fernando Alonso receives an Aston Martin DBX S as a Christmas surprise from his team

Fernando Alonso leads a quiet life in Monaco with his family. He lives with Jimenez and her three children, away from the media noise. With F1 in its winter break and pre-season testing closing in, December offered the Spanish driver a pause.

Before riding the Mercedes car, another car had already arrived. Aston Martin Monaco shared that the team gifted Alonso a brand-new DBX S on Christmas, fitting for a driver who also serves as a key ambassador for the brand. The team's official Instagram account posted a carousel of images online and wrote:

“A festive Christmas to remember for @fernandoalo_oficial, as we just had the pleasure of delivering him his brand new Aston Martin DBX S! All the Aston Martin Monaco team wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy holiday season!”

The black SUV has a twin-turbo V8 and produces close to 700 horsepower. It combines the stance of a luxury SUV with the kind of performance expected from a modern Aston Martin. It is fast and refined enough for daily driving, especially around Monaco.
