Lando Norris rounded off a perfect Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, as he converted his pole position into a win in the race on Sunday. This, along with his Sprint win on Saturday, has ballooned the Briton's lead at the top of the 2025 Drivers' standings, who leads Oscar Piastri by 24 points and Max Verstappen by 49.

Coming into the Brazilian GP, Norris was only one point ahead of his teammate, with a close finish for the title almost looking like a guarantee. But the 25-year-old has actually ended up with a healthy lead coming out of the weekend.

Oscar Piastri crashed out of the Sprint at Interlagos on Saturday, meaning he lost eight points to Norris, who won the race. The Aussie then finished fifth in the main race while his teammate won again, gaining another 15 points.

Max Verstappen managed to put in a brilliant recovery drive from the pit lane to finish P3 in the race, in a tough weekend for Red Bull. The Dutchman still lost 13 points to Norris this weekend, further denting his championship hopes.

So, let's take a look at the updated Drivers' Standings after yet another hectic Brazilian Grand Prix:

Lando Norris claimed that he was not thinking about the Drivers' championship after winning the Brazilian GP, even after securing a 24-point lead over Oscar Piastri. The McLaren man also added that he was disappointed that his car was not as quick as Max Verstappen's on Sunday.

When asked if he was thinking about the possibility of winning the championship during the post-race interview, Norris replied, saying:

"No. Not at all. I mean, it's a great win but to be honest, seeing how quick Max was today, I’m pretty disappointed we weren’t quicker. So that’s where my mind is at the minute."I'm probably going to see the team, congratulate them and see where we weren’t quick enough," he added.

Norris also explained that while not many races were left in the season, a lot could still change in the championship. He then concluded, saying he was focused on himself while ignoring any outside noise.
