Drake Maye and the New England Patriots have been impressive this season after a disappointing 4-13 record last year. Under new coach Mike Vrabel, they have qualified for the playoffs after an impressive 28-24 comeback victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
However, despite this impressive run, ex-Packers quarterback Matt Hasselbeck highlights a major concern for the team heading into the playoffs. On Monday's episode of "The Herd with Colin Cowherd," he talked about the recent injuries piling up for the Patriots and how it is affecting their depth chart.
"They just got to stay healthy," Hasselbeck said (Timestamp 7:00). "This is a team that no one even expected to be in the playoffs this year. ... They traded away all their captains. Like they would just say we're building something for successs down the road. So, the success of Drake Maye and the offense has been incredible.•

Against the Ravens, the Patriots suffered a few more injury concerns. Running back TreVeyon Henderson left the game early with a head injury. DeMario Douglas also suffered a hamstring injury. Apart from this, defensive players Joshua Farmer and Khyiris Tonga were also sidelined early during the game for injury concerns.
Drake Maye gets honest about qualifying for the playoffs with the Patriots
The Patriots qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2021. Against the Ravens, Drake Maye completed 31 of 44 passes for 380 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. His fourth-quarter TD gave his team a fighting chance for a comeback.
After the game, the quarterback shared what it meant to compete in the playoffs in his second year with the Patriots.
"That was one of the goals," Maye said. "We want to win the division, and that's still what we're fighting for. It's awesome to clinch the playoffs, but we want to win the division."So far this season, Maye has tallied 3,947 yards and 25 TDs passing while rushing for four touchdowns.
The Patriots next face the Jets on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
