Mick Foley recently left WWE in a pretty controversial manner. The former WWE Champion revealed that WWE's association with Donald Trump is the reason why he is leaving the Stamford-based promotion. Following this controversial exit, the WWE Hall of Famer was spotted with multiple AEW names in a social media post.

The Hardcore legend is a highly respected name in the world of professional wrestling. He has been vocal about his political stance and his feelings for President Trump for a long time. However, Trump's comments about Rob Reiner were the final straw for him to leave WWE. This decision by the former WWE Champion got support from a lot of fans all around the world.

Recently, Foley shared a picture with AEW names Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler on his Instagram. He wrote that it is a delight to catch up with his old friends. Mick also emphasized the significance of Pittsburgh in his life, sharing how meaningful it feels to be back in the city and reunited with his friends.

"WRESTLING CON! It’s always great to see old friends and new fans. Very special to see @jimrossbbq and @realjerrylawler in Pittsburgh; the three of us made some history in this city a long time ago! So good to see Santa, too," wrote Foley.

Jim Ross recently reacted to Mick Foley's exit from WWE

Mick Foley's exit from WWE has been the talk of the town for the past week. Many top names have shared their reaction to it. Foley's good friend Jim Ross also gave his opinion about this controversial decision by the legend.

Speaking on Grilling JR, Ross stated that Mick might never return to WWE again for the rest of his time. The legendary commentator added that Foley has been a valuable asset for WWE, and the company should have made a call to fix things with Mick Foley.

“If he said he’s done, he’s done. So I don’t think anybody at WWE would lose any significant sleep over it, but they might. They should. He’s a valuable asset, but in any event, you never know how it’s going to end up at the end of the day. But I know that what he said, he meant. What he said, he meant. He’s very disillusioned with the WWE’s support of Trump. But he joins a lot of people. Because, you know, Trump’s not the most popular guy," he said.

But JR added that perhaps Donald Trump's comments have hurt Mick Foley deep enough for him to leave the Stamford-based promotion for good this time. With that said only time will tell what is next for the Hall of Famer from here on.
