Nick Woltemade's fast start to life as a Newcastle United player has seen him be lauded as one of the best Premier League acquisitions from the recent summer transfer window.
The Magpies splashed out a club-record £69m on the 23-year-old striker to bring him to St James' Park from VfB Stuttgart.
Plenty of expectation was placed on the German's shoulders following his move to Newcastle, not only due to the large fee, but because he was tasked with replicating the kind of form which Alexander Isak displayed at the club before departing for Liverpool in the summer.
Woltemade was quick to quieten any critics over his move to Tyneside as he bagged the only goal on his Newcastle debut against Wolves in mid-September.
He has since scored five more times in a black-and-white shirt, including in his side's 2-0 triumph against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday night (October 29).
The striker has also found his footing at international level, scoring his first senior goal for Germany in a 1-0 win against Northern Ireland earlier this month.

Former Newcastle manager sets goal target for Woltemade

Many Newcastle supporters will likely be tipping Woltemade to finish the season with an impressive goal tally after the strong start he has made for Eddie Howe's side.
Someone that believes the German could be in for a big rest of the season is ex-Newcastle manager Alan Pardew, who has been very impressed with the start that the striker has had.
"He's settled lovely, scored goals. That penalty he took (against Nottingham Forest), where he just smashed it in the top corner, that shows the confidence he has," Pardew stated on talkSPORT.
"I think he'll have a big season as Newcastle," he continued.
The former Newcastle boss thinks that the current team's ability to set up plenty of crosses will only benefit the 6'6" frontman and subsequently allow him to hit a specific goal tally this season.
"Newcastle are probably one of the best teams in the division at doing that (crossing the ball) and they sustain pressure. That constant threat of attacking play makes them a real force."
"He's gonna have a nice supply of ammunition to get goals and I think he will. I think he'll end up with 20 goals," Pardew boldly claimed.
There is every chance Woltemade reaches that tally considering he is roughly a third of the way there after just 11 appearances for Howe's team.
Newcastle's participation in four competitions also makes it plausible for the 23-year-old to hit 20 goals in his debut campaign at St James' Park.
