Enzo Amore made a bold claim about his WWE departure in a recent interview. The popular star was let go by the promotion in 2018, and he has remained active on the independent wrestling scene ever since.

Speaking on No-Contest Wrestling, Enzo discussed his exit from the promotion and noted that he got canceled but was able to persevere. Amore then compared himself to Moses and stated that he had to go through a lot as well before finding his way.

“Unwaveringly, my confidence has never left. My opportunities got squandered,” he said. “I got canceled, I got s**t on by the world, and I got told I was one thing. But, to that point, I love to inspire those who have to persevere and go through things. You know, Moses had to leave Egypt, and he had to go in the desert, and you know, he had to go through something to come back and say, ‘Alright, here’s what time it is now," he said. Former WWE star Enzo Amore praises John Cena

Enzo Amore explained why he thought John Cena was the greatest wrestler of all time.

Speaking on the Julian Dorey Podcast, Amore explained that Cena's timing with the crowd is what separates him from everyone else in WWE. The veteran suggested that WWE fans listen to one of Cena's matches instead of watching it to understand how great he was.

"That's why he's the best, bro. F*ck what anybody says. John Cena is the best at what I do. It has nothing to do with how much he bench presses, whether he can lift you up over his head or anything. It has strictly to do with timing and the crowd. Two things, the crowd and timing. Watch his matches. Watch his matches without your eyes. Just listen. That is the indicator," Amore said.

Enzo Amore says whenever you’re working with John Cena you can do whatever you want “He’ll go through the curtain and not know what he’s gonna do on the microphone or in the ring.” (Julian Dorey)

It will be interesting to see if Enzo Amore gets the opportunity to return to WWE sometime down the line.
