Enshrouded: Veilwater Basin Spire puzzle guide

Enshrouded’s Wake of the Water update features a new Spire in Veilwater Basin, which has a puzzle that has been vexing quite a few players since launch. Simply getting into the Spire might be tricky, because it does require you to have a decent amount of oxygen. The area’s namesake Spire is in the middle of Lake Heartblood, and in order to go up, you’ve got to go down. Once you’ve arrived, you swim down into the water to reach the teleporter.

While there are plenty of movement challenges, and tough enemies to fight within the spire, we’re focused on the switch puzzle located inside Enshrouded’s Veilwater Basin. It doesn’t require any magical tricks, any tricky movement, just a keen eye for detail. You don’t need other players, either, unless perhaps your gear isn’t good enough to fight the lizardmen in the room.

How to easily solve the Veilwater Basin Spire puzzle in Enshrouded

If you’re coming into Veilwater Basin for the first time, to reach the Spire in Enshrouded, you’ll want to likely use Albaneve Summits Spire as a fast travel location. From there, you go to the Elixir Production Site, and follow the path into Veilwater Basin. The Spire itself is northwest of Dragondream Lake, as you can see on the map above. Just swim down into the water and use the teleporter.

Before long, you’ll come to a room with a few lizardmen, and several switches barring a locked door. This is the Veilwater Basin Spire puzzle, and it can be tricky if you aren’t paying attention. After defeating the Lizardmen in the room, you’ll see there are several switches along the wall, and some of them are already glowing.

Walk over to the door, and face where you came in at, as you can see in the screenshot below. Just pull those switches, and turn the others off. The reason for this is, these are the switches that match the pattern above the door. That’s all you have to do and you can move on. The next room has a few more switches to pull to activate a door, but to go any further, make sure you have a Grapple Hook.

The movement and navigation of the Veilwater Basin Spire can be tricky in Enshrouded, but it’s likely nothing you haven’t seen so far. Some players have been able to just glide to the top of this area, bypassing the Spire’s puzzle room, but now that you know which switches to pull, that’s not necessary!
