Dominik Mysterio is no stranger to stepping on toes, but he made the biggest mistake of his life on RAW. The young Mysterio interrupted and picked a fight with John Cena in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, and paid for it dearly.

Mysterio's arrogance cost him, as Triple H immediately booked him to defend the Intercontinental Championship against The Cenation Leader. As good as The King of Luchadores is, he simply couldn't match The Greatest of All Time in his hometown.

Dominik Mysterio pulled out all the dirty tricks in the book, but Cena was one step ahead, defeating the young Mysterio to win the one title that had eluded him in his career: the IC Championship. Following the massive loss, "Dirty" Dom could be kicked out of the Judgment Day.

Secret reason behind John Cena's massive win - Watch Here!

Tensions between the faction members, especially Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio, have been increasing with each passing week. With Mysterio losing the IC Title, the Judgment Day is officially without any gold. While there have been numerous teases of a split, there has been no major development in the storyline.

Dominik dropping the prestigious title has opened up a perfect opportunity for the Triple H-led creative team to further the story, as Finn Balor could kick the 28-year-old out of the faction. That said, this is just speculation for now.

John Cena reveals his thoughts on Dominik Mysterio after defeating him on RAW

After defeating Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship, John Cena was greeted by his fellow WWE Superstars, who congratulated the legend on his victory. One of them was Rey Mysterio, who was elated to see his son lose.

The Master of 619 stated that Dominik needed this "a** kicking," to which Cena surprisingly responded by saying that he is a good kid and hoped that it was a good lesson for the young star.

Cena winning the IC Title has raised the stakes for the remainder of his appearances. If he manages to hold the title until next month, The Last Real Champion's final match at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII on December 13 could be a title bout.

It will be intriguing to see where Dominik goes from here and how John Cena's reign as IC Champion plays out.
